Why is there no official client for GayRomeo?
Currently PlanetRomeo BV is not planning to release native clients for mobile operating systems. They however accept this third-party client and are, as far as we know, not working against it.
Is there an Android version planned? (Blackberry/WebOS/WinMobile)
No. MobileRomeo is and will be an iPhone OS only project, at least for the foreseeable future. I simply can't port the app and provide the same great experience on other devices. I'm thinking about an iPad version, though...
I have troubles logging in
First check if SSL is enabled. SSL does not work reliable with edge/3g connections on many telcos, so if you're not on wifi and you have problems, try to disable it. There is code in the latest update (1.3.1) that tries a IP login after SSL fails, so that shouldn't be a big issue anymore. Also check the plain gayromeo site, sometimes they're just not online or do maintenance work. If nothing helps, please check the blog and twitter if the problem is already known. If not, send an email.
How often does MobileRomeo visit profiles?
As of Version 1.2.2, a profile is only visited if you check pics or open the profile. Older versions loaded the profile to get the user pics on the first start. This was changed because of user requests.
Why I am not staying online when quitting the app?
You want a push-feature, so that you get a notification when a messages is received, even when the application is not running. As the iPhone OS won't support background processes, this checks need to run on MobileRomeo-Servers. That's quite complicated because we have many users, and we currently are working on the infrastructure. You'll be notified when push is ready.
My favorites are not listed correctly!
Up to 20 favorites are currently supported. This is equivalent to the QuickList-Feature of GayRomeo. We'll expand this feature later on, don't worry. Pictures of favorites are only displayed if the User is in the Messages List and already has a picture loaded.

How can I change the name of my Account?
Delete the Account by swiping onto it and recreate it with the new name. You may loose some message history. Direct Account rename will be implemented in one of the next versions.
How do I delete an account?
Just swipe left to right and press the delete button. This also works for users and messages.
Where is my message history?
Scroll down the message list and press the "Load Earlier..." button. This will import all your messages on the web. You only need to do this once per Account creation, further messages are imported automatically. MobileRomeo is intelligent enough to know when the last sync was and loads all pages until it finds messages already saved.
Some messages are not displayed as unread.
Up to 20 unread messages are currently supported. All messages are there, it's only that not all of them are marked unread. As you read message, the list will adapt and mark new ones unread. This is an unfortunate implementation detail, but greatly speeds up message processing.
Some messages are not in the correct order.
Messages can get garbled if there's less than a minute time difference. It's not a big deal since you can imagine the real order, but it's an issue we know about. We currently have more important features on the list but this may get fixed sometimes in the future.
Why are some message bubbles colored differently?
It's a simple system. Gray: your messages, user has read them. Red: your messages, not yet read. LightBlue: Guy's messages, read. Green: Guy's messages, not yet read by you.
I've deleted messages on the web, but they are still on the app.
MobileRomeo can't possibly know if you deliberately deleted messages or if they just vanished because they're old. You can however recreate your account at any time (delete and re-add) - this will remove any cached messages. It's the same for accounts. If you deleted an account on the web, just swipe to delete the account in the app too.
Some pictures don't load. I just see a big, blue, pixelish thing.
The picture was probably deleted by the user, but MobileRomeo has downloaded the thumbnail when it was available. For now, just ignore it. A feature to remove those old pictures is in the works.
All my private pics are in my public profile.
MobileRomeo collects pictures from various sources (profile, gallery, private ones) and displays them in one view. So when you open your profile, your private pics may be included. Don't worry - only you can see them.
I have the beta of OS 4 installed and now there is Problem XY
Beta OS releases cannot be supported. But we try really hard to fix any bugs found on future updates. So just relax and wait for updates =)
Logout on Exit is not always working
iPhone OS has a very limited timeframe once the home button was activated. This is not always enough to save the database and log out. It works most of the time through. If you wanna make sure you are logged out, switch to the accounts page. This logs you out instantly. (And this is remembered, next time you start on accounts)
Message Importing takes so long!
MobileRomeo may has to download many sites with your messages, parse them, and save them. This can take a few minutes, but you don't have to do that more than once. If you want to stop it, just quit the app - it won't break. Try importing on WLAN, it's much faster there.
MobileRomeo stopped working!
Please try to clear the database. Open Settings -> MobileRomeo and enable Clear Database. This removes all cached data. If this doesn't work, delete the app and download it again from iTunes. Don't worry, you don't have to pay twice.
Please add Feature XY!
Please check our feature forum if your feature is already listed, and add it if it's not there.
